WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU FOR MY WEDDING?

As soon as you have your wedding date confirmed. For instance, most brides book 12-18 months out from their date to ensure availability. The closer you get to your wedding date, the less chance of availability.

DO I NEED TO PAY A BOOKING FEE?

Yes. To secure your wedding date I require a $200.00 non-refundable booking fee. Wedding dates cannot be held without acceptance of your quote, your contract signed and proof that your booking fee has been paid.

Additional Fees

Please note, M Flair Hair Artistry has a minimum spend of $500.00 (including travel) for a mid-week and off season (May-August) wedding service.

If your wedding is on a Saturday in peak season (September to April), please be aware that the minimum spend changes to $700.00 (including travel).

Travel prices are at an additional cost to your hair styling – this price is dependent on your wedding location.

If I am required to start before 6.30am, there will be a $15.00 per person/per hour early start fee.

Please note, there is 15% surcharge for bookings on a public holiday.

WHAT REGIONS DO YOU TRAVEL TO?

The Hunter Valley, The Central Coast, Newcastle, and Port Stephens. Please note, travel prices are an additional cost to styling.

CAN YOU TRAVEL FURTHER THAN THE ABOVE REGIONS?

Yes, however, accommodation may need to be provided for the night before your event.

DO YOU DO OFFER MAKEUP WITH YOUR HAIR SERVICES?

M Flair Hair Artistry only offers hair services, however I do work alongside some amazing makeup artists who I can highly recommend.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU STYLE ON A WEDDING DAY?

The maximum amount of people I can look after by myself is 9 people. I can get an assistant in to help with preparation for an additional fee, however, the main part of styling will still be completed by myself.

HOW LONG DOES HAIRSTYLING TAKE?

Timing is particularly important on your wedding day. Please check with your photographer if they have a requested completion time or any special timing requests for your day. Everyone receives finishing touches roughly 1.5hrs before you walk down the aisle.

Depending on your hair thickness, type, length, and styling requirements, please allow 30mins for blow-dry’s and 1-1.5hrs for all other styling.

Hair Trials

Trials are a great way for us to meet and discuss your hair needs to create your perfect look. It also gives you the opportunity to see the style you love, and how you can expect to look on your special day.

Hair trials are highly recommended and assist with the smooth running of your wedding day. Please allow 1.5-2hrs for your trial, this gives us enough time to make sure you are 100% happy with how your hair looks.

DO YOU WORK WITH HAIR EXTENSIONS?

Yes. Clip in extensions are a great option for your wedding as they are easy to work with and do not cost a fortune. For more information about how to acquire hair extensions, click the below link.

HOW CLOSE TO MY WEDDING SHOULD I REFRESH MY COLOUR?

I suggest a week or two prior to your wedding. For colour tips click the below link.

DOES SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER AFFECT MY HAIRSTYLE?

Yes. Certain chemicals in shampoo and conditioner can have a negative effect on your hair and in turn will affect how your hairstyle will hold and look. For more information, click the below link.

ARE YOU COVID-19 SAFE?

Absolutely! Good hand hygiene and sanitary practice is very important. In between each client, alcohol spray is used to sanitise styling equipment, and hand sanitiser is used frequently throughout the day. I carry enough hand sanitiser for myself and everyone who requires styling.

In addition, I request to be in a room that has good ventilation, natural sunlight/decent lighting, and a clean surface area to work from.

I am also a fully vaccinated wedding supplier.
