Hair Preparation – Part 1

Hair Length and Thickness

Bridal Hair Hunter Valley/Central Coast

Did you know that the perfect preparation is just as important as choosing your perfect wedding hairstyle?

So you have locked in your wedding date, bought your dream dress and have no idea what the next step is for your wedding hair.

Before you start thinking about hairstyles, have a look in the mirror at your own hair. Take a couple notes and answer truthfully 😉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Is your hair long?
  • Is it short?
  • Do you get regular haircuts?
  • Has it been a while since your last haircut?
  • Can you see split ends?
  • Is your hair healthy?
  • Does your hair feel smooth or like straw?
  • All of these things can make a huge difference in getting your hairstyle from drab to fab ❤️⠀

When researching hairstyles, please try to stick with styles that will make you feel most comfortable. If you always wear your hair out, maybe your wedding day isn’t the day to try an up style and vice versa. You want to feel like an enhanced version of yourself, not someone completely different 🤩⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After looking at your inspiration pictures and your notes, do you desire a little more from your hair? Luckily, all these things can be fixed with frequent haircuts and clip in hair extensions. Talk to your regular hairdresser about a haircut plan and purchasing hair extensions.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When purchasing hair extensions, clip ins or a hair halo is preferred – they can be easily placed and tailored to suit any hair style, plus are great to reuse for other occasions! When choosing extensions,100% human hair is what you are after. Any type of synthetic hair will just fizzle and melt when any heat is applied. Please try to avoid tape or beaded extensions, they can show through easily as they usually are placed for everyday use.
