Hair preparation is a very important step to ensure your wedding style lasts all day and night.

Clean hair is best! Forget the term “dirty” when styling; you will get beautiful, longer lasting results when your hair is washed the night before.

Please follow the below instructions to get the best out of your hair

Wash your hair the night before unless advised otherwise.

Shampoo 3 times, then lightly condition mid-lengths and ends. Try to avoid products that have parabens, silicones, isopropyl alcohol, and sulphates (e.g., Pantene, Palmolive, TRESemme, Sun Silk etc), as they affect how your hair acts and handles styling products.

Without applying any product (i.e., treatments, smoothing creams, serums/oils), let your hair dry naturally or gently blow-dry (without using too much tension).

Avoid using heat styling tools prior to my arrival – this includes straighteners and curling wands. It is also best to avoid heavy treatments/conditioners for a week leading up to your event.

The morning of your wedding day

Please make sure your hair is clean and dry when I arrive and you are wearing something comfortable that can be easily removed (i.e., a loose cotton button up shirt or robe). This is to ensure your hairstyle is not affected when you get changed into your dress.

For safety and hygiene measures, I request to be in a room that has good ventilation, natural sunlight/decent lighting, and a clean surface area to work from.
