You have locked in your wedding date, bought your dream dress, and now have no idea what the next step is for your wedding hair.

You may have questions like:

  • Should I wear my hair up or down?
  • Will I need extensions?
  • Should I have a hair trial?
One thing I suggest to all of my brides, is that you want to be an enhanced version of yourself, not someone completely different on your wedding day. You want to feel comfortable and confident when you are walking down the aisle. Always stick to your gut and what you feel is best for you! If you want to invest in extensions – do it! If you want to keep your hair short – go for it! There are no rules when it comes to wedding hairstyling.

Before you start thinking about hairstyles, have a look in the mirror at your own hair. Take a couple notes and answer truthfully.

  • Is your hair long?
  • Is it short?
  • Do you get regular haircuts?
  • Has it been a while since your last haircut?
  • Can you see split ends?
  • Is it healthy?
  • Does it feel smooth or like straw?

All of these things can make a huge difference to your dream wedding hairstyle.

When researching hairstyles, please try to stick with styles that will make you feel most comfortable. If you always wear your hair out, maybe your wedding day isn’t the day to try an up style and vice versa. Remember, you want to feel like an enhanced version of yourself, not someone completely different.
